Gayle Murphy Silent Weekend Scholarship

Description: To provide financial assistance to ASL/Interpreting or deaf students at Columbus State to attend the Silent Weekend programming in memory of the work and life of Gayle Murphy.
Use: Scholarship is to be used directly for costs to attend the Silent Weekend
Additional Requirements:
1) Students must submit an essay describing in 1,000 words or less, how the Silent Weekend experience will impact your engagement and future interactions with the Deaf community as an ASL user or future interpreter.
2) Please tell us your connection to the Deaf community (family members or friends who are American Sign Language users, etc.).
3) Please provide the name and email address of a current CSCC Faculty/Staff member, Supervisor/Employer, or other individual who can attest to your character or motivation and serve as a reference on your behalf.

Award
This scholarship will cover the costs to attend for the Gayle Murphy Silent Weekend event.
