There is an essay component to our general scholarship application. Choose ONE of the prompts below and respond in essay form. There is no right or wrong answer. Clear, honest reflection is more important than writing style. Focus on explaining your experiences, motivations, growth, and goals. Your response should demonstrate thoughtfulness and self-reflection.
Minimum length: 250 words. Essays that do not meet the minimum word requirement may not be considered. All essays are scored using the same rubric, no matter which prompt you choose. Reviewers focus on your reflection, motivation, growth, and how clearly you connect your ideas to your success as a student. Writing style and creativity do not affect your score. Clarity and content matter most.
Essay Prompt Options
