Glenn H. Williams Fund
Glenn H. Williams established this fund to support medical research and to provide scholarship assistance for deserving secondary, undergraduate, and postgraduate students. Mr. Williams supported the Columbus Medical Research Foundation and was its first chairman, serving from 1957 to 1980. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a WWI veteran. He also successfully owned and operated Capitol Machine Company in Grandview for more than 25 years. After retiring, he used his business expertise to advise struggling business owners as a consultant for the Small Business Administration. Mr. Williams, an Upper Arlington resident, died in January 1980. The scholarship is available for students at OSU, Otterbein, Ohio Dominican, Franklin, Columbus State, and Capital. It is to support the Glenn H. Williams Scholarships for Franklin County students who are pursuing a degree, and in need of financial assistance.
Eligibility Criteria:
•Candidates must be Franklin County residents.
•Candidates must be pursuing a degree at one of the following institutions: The Ohio State University, Ohio Dominican University, Otterbein University, Franklin University, Columbus State Community College, or Capital University.
•Candidates must demonstrate financial need.
•Candidates must be enrolled at least 6 credit hours.
